Aksa Energy CEO and Board Member Cüneyt Uygun met with the leading press members of the energy sector at a pleasant dinner on Friday, April 7. At the meeting, Aksa Energy's investments, overseas projects and Turkey's energy sector were discussed.
Cüneyt Uygun announced that the Ghana HFO Power Plant started its commercial operations and added "Our Ghana Power Plant will meet approximately 15% of the country's electricity consumption. Stating that they count days to generate electricity in Madagascar and Mali Republics after the Ghana Power Plant, Uygun said "As one of the leading energy companies in Turkey, we have reinforced our presence in Africa with the guaranteed energy sale and power plant installation agreements we made with the Republic of Ghana, the Republic of Madagascar and the Republic of Mali. Our Ghana Power Plant was activated. In addition, we anticipate that our Madagascar power plant will be commissioned at the end of July and our Mali power plant at the end of June”.
